What is Meditation
Meditation is a transformative practice that can bring profound benefits to one’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. At its core, meditation involves cultivating a deep sense of presence and awareness, allowing us to become fully present in the moment and connect with our inner selves. By training our minds to focus and let go of distractions, we can reduce the overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety that can often plague us in our daily lives.
Studies have shown that meditation can have a significant impact on our brain function and overall mental health. Regular meditation has been linked to increased grey matter density in areas of the brain associated with memory, attention, and emotional regulation. It can also lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol and improve immune function, helping us to stay healthy and resilient in the face of challenges.
But perhaps the most meaningful aspect of meditation is its ability to help us cultivate a deeper sense of compassion, both for ourselves and others. Breathwork
SPIRITUS Breathwork and Somatic Healing is a sacred experience that uses the power of your breath, through Conscious Connected Breathing to release trauma, shift perspective, regulate your nervous system, and allowing your mind and body to recalibrate. Let go of what no longer serves you and step into a new state of balance, clarity, and vitality.
1:1 Session – $150 (1 hour & 40mins)
What is Breathwork?
SPIRITUS Breathwork & Somatic Healing is holistic approach to healing and releasing what no longer serves you, through Conscious Connected Breathing. Release emotional blockages, heal from past trauma and deepen your spiritual connection. Camilla will support you on your journey within, help expand your window of tolerance and regulate your nervous system. Working with the body’s innate intelligence to facilitate self-discovery, processing blocked emotions and healing at a deeper soul level.
REGULATE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM
The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems play a crucial role in our body’s response to stress. When we experience stress, our sympathetic nervous system activates, causing our heart rate and cortisol levels to rise. This is commonly known as the “fight or flight” response. On the other hand, when we experience a state of “freeze” or “fawn” our parasympathetic nervous system takes over, lowering our heart rate and inducing a feeling of relaxation. Using breathing techniques like Box Breathing (to activate our Sympathetic Nervous System) or Restorative Breath (to activate our Parasympathetic Nervous System) we can help regulate our nervous system to operate and enter our bodies into the opposite nervous system state. With our two guided meditations, you can take control of your nervous system and give your body the change it needs to manage stress and find balance, no matter what life throws at you.
